Guidelies For Useage

The full colour logo is the dominant one, where the background is always dark brown and stretches the full width of the page.

Where the background is white, the transparent background version should be used.

Colour Palette

Primary Colours

The brown , green and white are the three colours that represent the brand. The brown the background or the outline of the text which is in white for the transparent background version. The green represents the tri-ball icon. With the brand's title in white.

Secondary Colours

Complementary colours that support the primary colours and add flexibility to design elements like menu element backgrounds and “lighter” text fonts.

Typography

The Local To Ossett wording of the logo is League Spartan font.

Primary Typeface

The main font used for headlines, titles, and major text elements is Montserrat font.

Secondary Typeface

Montserrat font is also used for body text and smaller text elements.

Font Usage Guidelines

Only Montserrat font should be used for headlines, body text, captions) Consistency should be maintained by keeping headlines, body text, captions of respective font size though the entirety of the content.

Imagery and Iconography

Image Style Guidelines

The preferred style of images that represent the brand should be bright, cheerful and fresh.

Preferred Subjects

The types of subjects to be featured in photos should be local landmarks, buildings, community events, people interacting, etc.).

Icon Style

The icon used in the branding, including its size, colour, and style should remain to scale with the brand's lettering as defined in logo files.

Tone of Voice and Messaging

Brand Voice

The overall tone and style of the brand’s communication is friendly, professional, informative, conversational).

Key Messaging Points

The core messages that the brand wants to convey is local pride, community engagement, and support for local businesses.

Language Guidelines

Language used, including preferred terminology, common phrases, and style preferences are by use of contractions, informal language.

Usage Guidelines

Logo Usage

The logo size can change depending on different scenarios however should not be reduced to a point whereby the font loses its definition . Padding around the logo should remain to scale. The logo should be placed on either the accepted brown background using the Full Colour Version or the Transparent Background Version for other colours. Ensure the background colour does not obscure the icon colour or the text of the logo. Do not place the Full Colour Version on a different colour than brown (HEX #343921)

Colour Usage

Do not use background colour the same as or close to that of the logo, this includes the outline (#343921)

Typography Usage

Font weights should either be normal or bold to immpress a title, and be aligned to maintain consistency across different platforms.

Image and Icon Usage

The icon and font that form the logo should always be used together and neither should be used on their own.

Misuse Examples

Visual examples of what not to do with brand elements, such as distorting the logo, using unapproved colours, or inconsistent typography.
